The buttons are not worn out. The rubber from the sticks is logically already rubbed off a bit.

I've never had the problem that the gamepad wasn't recognized in any game before. 9% of cases, the problem then resolves itself and then no longer occurs during the gaming session. This can be very annoying for games that require a lot of precision.

However, the problems are usually not very pronounced and should therefore not really be noticed by many people (which would also explain why some people think that their gamepad from the same series doesn't even have the problems). Still working after all these years.
