Highly recommend spring. Very satisfied. You can only hear the impact of strikes on the bag. I no longer hear rattling from the garage door opener when punching or kicking the bag.

I taped the chains for added 'silence'. I live in a Japanese house in a quiet, residential neighbourhood so 'quiet' is the key word. I was wondering if this would be too strong for my 100 lb Outslayer MMA heavy bag, but it's perfect.

I'm also using paracord (about 4 or 5mm x 50cm length) to tie it to the wall mount (double half hitch knot looped round the spring ring and wall mount ring three or four times). 90% of the noise was gone and bag swing was cut by 60-70%!

The spring definitely makes the punchbag workout quieter, and, importantly, there's MUCH less stress on the wall mount bracket, too. Don't even hesitate or consider buying something cheaper. And it does eliminate the shaking. Super quality able to withstand pounding the bag plus the bag shown in the picture is 100lbs.

I bought this spring hoping to stop the pounding and shaking of the joist caused from hitting the bag. I haven't done so, but wrapping the bag in a towel would quiet it even further.
