Her trauma and triumphs are simply admirable, I feel super connected to her, as I’m spiritual and a empath. I dip in and out, there’s always a line or two in each poem that lingers with me after. The way this woman wrote poems she gives pieces of herself away in it. The poems fell into my hands as a gift from a friend.

How after the first poem I just knew that it would all resonate deeply with me. I ended up gifting on 3 copies to my South Asian friends. They are beautifully written.
My two favourite poems were - “after the loss, take 2” and “for the aunties. I love this book I literally have nothing bad to say about it. I think the book will resonate with anyone who has had to fight to be accepted - whether it’s self-acceptance or acceptance from people/society. This book terrified me.
