About this deal

Safety:-

Polyvine Decorators Varnish is a clear acyclic top coat in a variety of sheen levels. • Water and heat resistant, quick drying, virtually odourless and very easy to use and apply. Dead Flat - for a completely shine free surface It should not be used on bare exterior wood. Quick drying time • Modern formulation bonds really well to most surfaces. Coats should be applied thinly and if applying to a porous surface, the first coat should be thinned 10% with water.

Use On:-

  • Stain Resistant
  • Water Wash Up
  • Thinly apply 2 to 3 coats of varnish.
  • Test for compatibility before application.

I absolutely love this varnish. I painted white Rustins primer on the wood, then applied 3 coats of Frankie & Stone white chalk paint - left the top as natural stain.

I then later tested it on an off cut painted to the same spec as the shelves and no significant colour change was noticed. Having painted a wall with dark grey paint, it would mark at the slightest touch and no chance of wiping down with a damp cloth, the paint would just rub off. It also dries very quickly - I could put back the items on the oak shelf I used it on, in a very short while.

Returned it to Matt finish and can wipe off marks/ muck left dogs. I then varnished all the shelves and I’m really pleased with the end result.
