I Googled the material of these taps: GCr15. They came in a plastic bag with a German supplier/manufacturer's (? 0; on a dowling jig I bought, and it cleaned up the rough surface of the drill bushing thread that was damaged. Tapped M8 hopes in a motorcycle.

If you are DIY, tap by hand every now and then, and don't need industrial speeds, this will do the same as HSS steel - which cost a lot more. Very happy! ) name on but the taps were in a small plastic storage case - see photos. 5 Stars
