How to build a furnace, or kiln, how bricks are made. Very well written easy and comprehensive My only gripe is that the book covers so much and some of the detail is lost because of that.

This is a down home book that's expanded to cover solar power and getting energy from water. If your cheap like me trust me if you get this it will not be a waist of your money. Making your own things out wood, metal and leather.

Food storage. Cutting excess costs and being able to live independent, even to a small extent is important. Despite that, I'd recommend this book. This book covers so much, you actually learn new talents.
